The Mele 10 is personal, respectful, and focused on participation. You do not need to be a professional organizer—you just need to follow through.

Choose your ten.
Think of family members, friends, neighbors, coworkers, or community members you can reach personally.

Start the conversation.
Ask what matters to them. Listen first, then explain why this election and this district deserve their attention.

Check voter registration.
Make sure each person is registered and has current information. Use New Jersey's official voter portal for authoritative guidance.

Make a voting plan.
Help each voter decide whether to vote by mail, during early voting, or on Election Day—and identify when and where.

Follow up.
A timely reminder turns good intentions into action. Check in before voting begins and again before the deadline.

Celebrate the effort.
Recognize the people who participated and consider a small, supporter-funded gathering to keep the civic habit growing.

Pass it on.
Invite someone else to take the challenge. Ten becomes twenty, twenty becomes a neighborhood, and a neighborhood becomes a movement.
